Brunei LNG and QESS Sdn Bhd held a signing ceremony yesterday at the Brunei LNG plant in Lumut, Seria. The signing ceremony was for the contract for Specialist Coating Repair Services and Cooling Tower Fan Blade Repairs. |

Signing on behalf of QESS was its managing director, Haji Awang bin Ali, while BLNG was represented by James Lim, Acting Engineering Manager. Witnessing the signing ceremony were BLNG officials and QESS senior management.
The contract work scope covers the provision of personnel, equipment and specialist coating repair services for BLNG. It includes repair work on cooling tower fan blades, electrical transformers, metal and glass reinforced piping, valves, vessel and heat exchangers, using approved technical |

procedure and special polymer composite material. It is also a requirement for the contractor to provide a suitable workshop premise with sufficient equipment and trained personnel to perform repair work offsite. |

BLNG has been in operation for 34 years and is currently embarking on a series of plant rejuvenation projects involving some 20 major activities over a period of five years.
The first major project under the Asset Reference Plan was the replacement of four out of five Main Cryogenic Heat Exchangers, which was completed in August last year. Another major on-going project is the construction of a new power plant. |

The entire project of the Asset Reference Plan forms part of BLNG's extension plan to ensure long term reliable supply of LNG to its buyers, for another 20 years beyond the existing contract expiry in 2013. |
